COVID-19 Information
COVID TRAVEL POLICY
Stars will run all tours in accordance with the known Covid Policies of the UK government and any other country through which the tour may transit or visit.
It is the responsibility of members to have the required doses of a vaccine approved by the UK Medicines and Healthcare products regulatory Agency at least 14 days prior to the commencement of the tour.
Members must have with them at all times when on the tour, certification showing that the necessary injections have been administered. This may either be by an App on a mobile phone or a printed document downloaded from the member’s personal NHS Covid Pass, or such method as the relevant authorities may permit.
Members may be required to show the appropriate authorities such proof of vaccination where requested.
Members will be expected to follow existing public health measures such as hand hygiene, face mask wearing and social distancing where appropriate or at the direction of any member of staff at sites visited. In the event of a suspected or confirmed Covid case the personal data used by Stars in connection with a member’s participation on a tour may be used in the course of contact tracing.
Members will be expected to report any symptoms which could give rise to belief that they may be suffering from Covid.
Should any member become unwell with Covid symptoms they will be required to take any necessary tests at their expense.
Stars are unable to provide Covid vaccine or testing facilities.
Stars remind members that it is a condition of booking on a tour that they have travel insurance and it is recommended that the insurance would compensate the member in the event of the cancellation or costs involved should they suffer from Covid whilst on a tour.
Stars will not be held responsible for any additional costs incurred, due to rule changes by any government of a country through which a tour passes, or visits. This would include the cost of quarantine, accommodation, food or Covid testing or inoculations.
Any member who fails to comply with any of these requirements as stated in the Stars Covid 19 policy or the regulations of any country through which the tour passes or visits, may be required to immediately leave the tour. The member concerned will not be entitled to a refund, credit or compensation of any kind. The member will be responsible for all costs and fines, including without limitation travel expenses, lodging and medical expenses, and for the provision of proper travel documentation to allow his/her travel to or from the UK.
